Political compass says otherwise. And trying to ignore economics is missing pretty much more than half of the picture. Considering economics directly impacts both the social and political ends of spectrums. "Rigid tradition," - True. "national pride," - So did Japan and the Soviet Union. Were they far right too? "conventional gender roles," - Ignoring that even the Nazis eventually went away from that. "those are conservative," - Depends on what is being conserved. A Soviet conservative would not be right wing. "or right wing values, national socialist values." - Except again, it holds little merit in defining their entire ideology. If you want to say they are socially right wing, fine. Ignoring how many concepts can be held by both sides. But they were politically authoritarian with a left wing or socialist based economy. That does not make them "Far Right" when they are closer to the Marxist Soviet Union or Mao's China than the capitalist west ever could hope to be.
