Really how does Ukraine deserve any of it?
2
Putin is the one starting it rn
2
@Le_Dislike_Button then you are a traitor
2
We aren’t escalating anything
1
Nope, we are giving Ukraine the means to help defend itself. Russia can end this war at any time. Shame Putin won’t get the message
1
What Ukrainians did we kill?
1
I don’t recall Ukraine invading Russia. So I don’t exactly call this a defense at all
1
And NATO letting Ukraine in is not starting a war. Russia doesn’t get to bully people away from alliances
1
Speak for yourself
1
For better or for worse it was with our permission since most voted these politicians in. Also would this logic not apply for Russia to keep its nose out of Ukraine?
1
@ChanCantBeCHANged and who says we can’t do both? We did the same thing in WW2.
1
Right so blame the guy giving Ukraine the ability to defend itself more than the guy kicking them while their down. What are you smoking?
1
No we really won’t. If Russia uses nukes it will just cause retaliation. Especially since use of nukes is a violation of UN law
1
The fracturing of an aggressive power, a demonstration that the powers of Europe and America cannot simply get bullied to get what they want, economic assets if wanted, and most importantly replacing an enemy power with an actual democratic one.
1
All NATO nations have been sending assets to help Ukraine
1
And Putin will only keep fighting to get his way till he realizes he can lose everything in attempting to do so. Also you can’t use that line of reasoning as when would the lesson be learned? How many times must tyrants be upheld, appeased, given good faith, before we learn that we cannot reason with a tiger when our heads are in its mouth. Allowing Putin to have what he wants only condones him to use the same tactics the next time he wants something. We should of learned this lesson after Crimea
1
What? 😂
1
You can’t have victory without sacrifice. Ukraine will hold on as long as we give them the means to keep doing so. Russia can only keep it up so long before the unrest will destabilize Putin’s control completely. It’s already starting to
1
Relevant how?
1
Except it does hold interest. A. Resources and B. As an ally to contain 1/2 of our biggest enemies. The situation of our people is bad. But don’t confuse domestic incompetence with upholding our international interests.
1
Um no. The war would just result in a Russian victory, you know an enemy of the USA. Perhaps you need to remember that
1
@buddhaspriest no but we are allies to a nation opposing an enemy tyrant. Again you only have to look at WW2 to see where isolationism got us. And none of my friends are in Ukraine, because instead of waiting for an inevitable WW3, action is being done to ensure Russia can never empower itself to that point. And it’s been working so far. Goes to show that the “3rd most powerful military” can’t even beat Ukraine after 3 months.
1
You can get a fast food meal for 4 dollars.
1
@sheldon6855 “real food” wasn’t the context of this argument. The argument of “feeding the poor” is the basis that they would be starving to death. Something that with current prices of certain types of food, is borderline impossible. Obviously higher quality food is going to be more expensive. That’s a simple fact of life
1
And how would you like your kids to be in WW3 started by a mad man? Unless you want that, we have to keep Putin contained here and now. We should of learned this lesson after Crimea
1
It ain’t old news fam. Don’t confuse our domestic problems with our international interests
1
It didn’t need to be false hope. And we aren’t watching, we are sending them the weapons and tools necessary to fight and that’s the most we can do without starting WW3.
1
Um no
1
@chuckchalmers4960 and that truth is the fight is still going on. Putin’s war was supposed to be over a while ago yet here we are.
1
@hellbentangel6774 not even close
1
Who says we can’t or shouldn’t do both
1
@sann5146 by your logic, and US involvement is meddling. Ukraine called on our help. And it aligned with our interests to do so
