I don't think Emma and Jamie share Sam's view of Jimmy.

This video actually had me resubscribe, I must have missed it first time around.

I think the SJW phenomena that came to prominence from 2011 onwards did push centrist types towards the right. Not to the far right/alt right though. Those types were already lurking in the shadows. But to the center right or conservatism. Some of them went on to stay there, others moved back to the center or center left even. Because the left wing arguments will always be valid when it comes to protecting the rights of the little people and fighting for affordable living for all workers. (Rent, healthcare etc)

Good work covering this guys.

I like how TJ on his video is really happy that he was at the center, like the Arch Atheist! While Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins were relegated to the sides!
4
That bear seemed to really like you Sam! :)
4
This is a bit old now. Funny though.

@friendlypup5650 Maybe she agrees but Emma still looked a bit uncomfortable with the segment in my opinion. While Jamie looked like she was thinking ok, here we go again! Let's get this over with!
3
No way. Jimmy is left wing. Perhaps too left wing.
2
William Claypoole It doesn't really translate that way. Most Scots want to remain in the Union but have greater powers within it and they generally favour a more progressive type of self government than what Westminster and England offers.
2
Kiss and make up!
2
I love Cenk Uygur from TYT but hes way too soft on Bill Clinton.
2
I could be wrong, but I think he just means he has his own favoured choice of crypto.
2
Funny, Klobuchar can be quite the doofus! And RIP Michael Brooks.
2
karl john I agree in principle, but it's not going to happen any time soon.

Trump supporters need their 'safe space'
1
Disagree. Trump can string a sentence together most of the time. And I still think Bush was worse than Trump in his decisions. The only think that will change that is if Trump suddenly goes on a crazy destructive war that costs america fortunes and kills tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands of foreign civilians.
1
It's very ingnoble when the old do their utmost to cling to power until their dying day. Historically in many countries and societies it has caused a myriad of problems. Fortunately that's not really the case here but it still it isn't in the best interests of those being served by respective arms of government.

Republicans Unable to Empathize on Issues Until It Happens to Them You dont say! :)
1
Libs push for Das Kapital as required reading? Yeah right.
1
Even conservatives, at least the ones with half a brain came to realise that war was a bad thing and not even in americas interest. The only ones who benefited were a few men such as the Cheney-Bush-Rumsfeld clique and a handful of their associates within the military industrial complex.
1
That's Ireland for you. Though the old hard core catholic traditionalists are dying out. I dont think Ireland will have such stupid rules in 10 years. Hopefully things like this will make the change come sooner.
1
Jimmy Dore isn't right wing but he's the type of left winger who would have been a Stalin apologist in the 1930's. He's still very left wing in a traditional sense on things like economics and geopolitics, i.e. look at the Gaza coverage.
1
he showed compassion, and a bond grew.

Once upon a time there was an ideal that your nation protects. From the cradle to the grave. A social contract of sorts and society was more harmonious. Then came the oil crisis and the system was shaken, and from the chaos the neo-liberal new order arose, which led to the terminal global crisis we have today and weakened the sovereignty of the nation state. And most of us lived unhappily ever after. The end.

Keep up the good work Sam!
1
Im atheist and i'm bitter because i reject the love of god!!! It makes me so mad! RAAAAAH!!!!! :)
1
not at all, kindness in extreme situations can bring people together. Whether the relationship actually lasts or not, i dunno.
1
@jag10 most progressives are of the opinion that the so called 'progressivism' you say is/has been in place for a generation, is broken.
1
Klobuchar: I'd like to see how those activists hair would fair in a blizzard! 🤓
1
Push/pull, choice. I could have worded that better, but the point remains that when the whole SJW thing flared up it opened the avenue for people who may not of done so otherwise, to listen to criticisms of some aspects of the left and through that, open themselves to other points of view. But as long as there is great or worsening poverty and a growing gap between rich and poor, left wing arguments will never fully go away. They tend to go away when things are improving for the majority.
1
Obama is centre right. But better than the reps.
1
totally agree, it costs more in the long run. But i still think after a year, my proposed scheme below is a postive one.
1
ALalalalalaalah! Death to Pollution! I declare holy Jihad against desertification, oil spills and nuclear waste!
1
He has risen, for he has risen! Let the angels sing their praises now that Sam is back! He has risen! :)
1
All good points, @Sam Seder. But on another note, is it me or has the audio been sped up a little? By about 10 percent?
1
I think theres a gap in the market for a progressive gun store. It's symbol can be the universal 'No' sign with a picture of Anders Breivik behind it. And we need to be able to defend ourselves before another one of these right wing crazies go on a rampage.
1
What goes on? I think theyre told to shake some maracas and wear a sombrero the next time they are insensitive to hispanics so that despite their stance they can be seen to be appreciative of the culture! I jest of course. But sometimes it really wouldn't surprise me.
1
A dangerous game, the IMF will want to make an example of us, if inflation and food prices, fuel prices goes up it could bury Boric. I hate neo-liberalism too but we have to play the long game or they will do their utmost to bury us. I wish Boric the best but we need to have contingency plans so when they do devalue our currency and global purchasing power for imports, we have other means to meet the basic needs of people.
1
It's not a majority. Otherwise Romney would have won.
1
I only just stumbled across it but an awesome animation!
1
the prophet and angels say its all good as long as it is not from a pig! In which case you have to throw it into a volcano! Inshallah!
1
It looks like they're all making jokes at Trumps expense, jokes that he doesn't understand so he just smiles and nods! :)
1
Sam dude, since your haircut i've just noticed you have the ears of an elf or vulcan! Which is pretty cool :)
1
Seems a strange angle for Fox to come from.
1
He only likes cat boys.

We live in a world of finite resources and renewable ones that can easily be overharvested to extinction. We have a potentially life shattering environmental disaster looming in the next 25-50 years. We would all be better off with smaller populations but we must bear in mind that poor people consume a lot less and are responsible for a lot less pollution than what rich people are. So lets not pick on the poor, sensible family planning and a goal to stabilize or lower the population over the next 100 years, which i believe should be a goal in order to support a better standard of living is something that needs to be applied across the board. To developed and underdeveloped countries, to rich and poor. And then we can provide a first world lifestyle to all, something similar to what we see in scandinavia/iceland. While at the same time improving the state of the planet so that future generations can enjoy a good quality of life too.
1
What a bitch.
1
We all die one day. I don't see what the big shock is. He's an old man and has lived a long life. Death is perfectly natural.
1
oh dear...
1
The UK's idea had some good but flawed ideas. What if the private sector is not eligable to apply? Remember, this is after a year. And people will only have to work 30 hours and it will only apply to local municipality work or charities.Heck, even 24 hours a week to give people more time to jobsearch.I think that would be fair. It will also give people a sense of pride back.Though digressing a bit there never will be enough jobs available under a post industrial economy. This is a good safety net.
1
Happy Sol Invictus day! :)
1
Screw you Joe Lieberman. The geriatric republican in disguise.
1
Fox News makes me feel sick at times. Steve Doocy in particular is a nasty piece of work.
1
Sorry, i was meant to include this, as long as it meets a need. Need is not always compatible with capitalist economic growth.
