  1. It's only a video game but Assassins Creed Origins seems to do an outstanding job of recreating Egypt (and Alexandria of course) under the Ptolemies. Some of the ruins and artifacts here kind of look familiar! As a video game it's not going to be 1:1 scale and it's focus is to be entertainment not a historical tool. But despite of that it still looks very impressive and it would be interesting to see your reaction/opinion of it's effort one day. Otherwise great video I enjoyed watching this!

  3. 6:17 I think that by advanced trade routes he just means a trade route over a very long range, i.e. trade with a far off country/culture rather than with a neighboring state in which case the journey would be a simple/basic trade route. Advanced trade route could be over sea, or challenging terrain such as deserts and mountain. It would require some level of sophistication to conduct such a trade route safely, for example re-supply outposts providing water and food for the caravans or even ships. Trade with the lapis lazuli miners of modern day afghanistan or with the early cultures of india, if such a thing was done by the sumerians would be an advanced trade route for that time, given the distance and logistical challenge for an early civilization to extend it's reach so far.
