  5. I think that there's one planet like earth (with civilizations) in every hundred trillion star systems. Which means we'll probably never meet them. We'll probably never get out of this solar system either, but I do think we'll be able to take control of and exploit this solar system one day. Mining and resource extraction going as far as the rings and moons of Saturn which will probably fuel Earths economy for tens of thousands of years.

  7. Fascism and National Socialism are often bundled together in modern teaching as if they are the same thing but they are different. I'm not sure if Konstantin is referring specifically to fascism as in the ideology of Mussolini and Oswald Mosely, I assume he is. As opposed to the racial ideology of the nazis. Because had Nazi Germany won in world war 2, countries like Poland, Bulgaria, Ukraine, perhaps even Russia would no longer exist and it would not have bode well for most of the people of slavic ethnicity.

  9. In 20 years we'll all (even the perpetrators) look back and cringe at most of these trends. And a lot of the angry young activists themselves will look back and say 'yeah i was a right cunt back then, let's change the subject now as it's embarassing'.

  10. The way I see it World War 2 was pretty much a win for communists. They found themselves at the helm of a powerful empire, their mortal enemy destroyed. Yet today in 2023 that empire is gone, echoes remain in modern Russia but Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, all of the slavic states went on to become sovereign countries. Post independence, some like Poland became very prosperous with the people thriving, though in other cases such as with the current war between Russia and Ukraine, problems remain in part because of issues of the Soviet legacy. Yet here is my point. Had the nazis and not the communists won/gotten a good result from World War 2, all these slavic countries would not exist, at the very best they would be 2nd class citizens of the thousand year Reich, at worst the nazis would have actually enslaved, sterilised and genocided them. To me this clearly shows that the communist victory in world war 2 which helped shape the world of 2023 is preferable to how the year 2023 would have been if the nazis had won. Thus Nazism is worse than Communism, as a lot of people today would either have been denied the right to exist or have had their identities erased. Konstantin however refers to Fascism and not Nazism, as in the ideology of Mussolini or Mosely, so it does leave it more open to debate. But what is certain is that we would be in a very different world today had a fascist power emerged dominant in the post ww2 times, and I think a worser world. Remember, for all the problems we have today it's undeniable that as a modern civilisation we did make great social-economic progress in second half of the 20th century (especially the 50's and 60's). And were still doing well even in the early 00's despite of 9/11 and the war on terror. It's only in more recent times that things have been going off the rails, but I think the roots to todays problems lay in part with the Bush/Cheney administrations actions combined with globalist corporate driven capitalism being overly empowered and having a negative effect on national economies and thus hurting a countries sovereignty over the long term.

  11. Not buying it, Assad creating the rebels to make himself look better? Thats crazy talk. The west triggered this conflict by trying to export democracy into the islamic world via the arab spring movement and thats a noble intention but it got hijacked by the islamists and because Syria is 71 percent majority Sunni and Al Assad comes from a Shia background and is secularist it was always going to be an uphill battle for him and his regime.

  12. It's crazy talk. It was the west that was responsible for the jihadis by supporting the arab spring movement to try push for more democracy (which is not a bad thing) but the movements quickly got hijacked by the islamists.

  15. Disagree, it's only a problem if we open the gates to more immigration. Less immigration = wages go up and more empty houses, lowering housing costs. And the citizens start to be able to afford having families again. What's more A.I. and robotic automation will create a devastating unemployment crisis in overpopulated countries. While countries like Japan will handle it well.
