  1. Drew Smith was that government (i.e. tax payer) money? or through charities? If government/tax payer money, the only reason i can see for it is to grease the wheels or setting the icing on some trade deal that may be of benefit.

  2. Say what you want about the communist party of china, yeah they suck in many respects, living in a culture of corruption and prestige. Yet they do have a grand strategic vision which is logical and ambitious. The first country to start exploiting extra terrestrial resources will have the potential to become the strongest country. We should be aiming for this too.
