  2. They only acted decently because this case has come under the scrutiny of the world. Though the nation is being well 'managed' overall, (their wealth and power grows)the 'peoples' republic is otherwise a bit of sham. But life is cheap when you have over a billion people. The ironic thing is, as they become more like us (prosperity has increased, civil rights have improved if only fractionally) we become more like them. Our prosperity decreases, our rights are being slowly stripped away.
