  1. What assholes. These sadistic bastards actually seem to enjoy hurting the poor creatures. Those that get off on seeing and inflicting suffering are the very worst of humans. Most people wouldnt want to work at a slaughterhouse because of the nature of the job and wages tend to be low. But i bet that for some of these sickos it's a job of choice as they get the chance to hurt things :(

  2. Western countries have a lot of atheists and agnostics compared to muslim countries however. And a lot of people who are nominally christian but in practice are irreligious. That said, i do think halal method of slaughter is unfairly criticised in the west. Being a religious act there is a form of respect to the animal and reverance to the procedure. So youre less likely to see people kicking and punching animals 'for a laugh'
