  1. Most people want them to continue. Compare the massive crowds who go see Royal Wedding, to the group of about 15 anti monarchy protestors. I for one think we dont need them. Sure it's a part of the history that should be remembered but if it was abolished it's not like tourism would take a plunge. I for one would like to visit China and see old imperial monuments. It doesnt put me off that there isnt currently a Chinese emperor. That said, as long as most people still want it i will follow the will of the majority.
