  2. I'm not a fan of it either but remember that early Christian women also wore a Hijab. Look at the pictures of Virgin Mary, it's very similar, practically the same. And even today what nuns wear is kind of similar. That said, Christianity is a religion that is of a middle eastern origin which replaced all the home grown european religions, so it's not that surprising when you think about it.
