It's money laundering at work. All these clothes have allegedly been sold at high market prices, receipts marked up and kept on the record. But in reality nothing was sold and the dirty money (a lot of it was probably cocaine money) got made into clean money. For the price of a bulk purchase of cheap clothes.

@신예림-w6i I think it's money laundering. The cocaine drug lords needed to make their drug money into clean money so they own several small clothes shops, make a bulk purchase of clothes. Pretend that they sold them all at high market prices, and keep record of the receipts. But in reality nothing was sold and the clothes were dumped, and the dirty drug money got made into clean legal money for the price of a bulk buy of really cheap clothes.

@birdgirl8390 Sad thing is, without those awful jobs many of them wouldn't be able to eat or feed their kids so they are screwed either way. If anything were to push me to side with revolutionaries to overthrow the state, if i were living and working in conditions like that.

 @fitnessymas9605 They probably paid truckers from Iquique (northern coastal town) to load the clothes from the port and have a drive to the desert to dump it.
