Though it is an interesting topic that is deliberately ignored by the politically correct powers that be, at 3:35 i'm skeptical that barbary enslavement numbered in the millions, tens of thousands perhaps. Barbary slavers did raid Britain and northern europe but the vast majority of the slaves they captured were from south european countries, the incident of gozo population of 5000 being captured was the most notorious. But that is no-where close to millions. We would however get a much larger figure when we look at Ottoman Empire enslavement of east europeans and also of christians of the eastern black sea such as georgians, circassians and armenians. Many of the slaves would go on to be sold around the islamic world including africa. So perhaps the figure is being conflated with that?
