  1. Regardless of the system Cuba actually has a bright future ahead of it because they have found very rich off shore oil deposits. I hope for the cuban peoples sake that even if a constitutional democracy is one day put in place that this oil remains in the hands of the state as the money could mean that a good health care system and education be kept. And pensions for the elderly.

  2. George Orwell, who hated authoritarianism was still a socialist but he also believed in freedom. The left wing has a lot of differences and divisions within it, even on the far left. The far right however is more monolithic in its outlook.
