Christi Bown Then you are deluded. There were a hundred of things she could do other than kill the child. She could leave the baby at the steps of one of the temples under the shadow of night.

Christi Bown Death is never the answer. What happened was horrible but killing her daughter was also horrible. So the police ask blunt questions, the relatives are being awful. So what, fuck them. She did well to report the incident to the police but it appears she then lost her nerve. You have to stand your ground and fight at times. Be defiant.

Christi Bown I can never empathise with stabbing your own daughter nothing can make it any worse. And you too share an arrogance, that those that disagree with you are totally in the wrong, are brutes. You are part of the problem because you offer no real solutions. Shame on you. The solution is that India needs to start a new educational campaign emphasising it's western laws and consitution. A campaign that warns police to remember this or fear the consequences (getting fired) and reminds women that the law is on their side. Is has to be a campaign led from the highest level. Use of social media and the secular media should be encouraged also in order to try highlight problem areas.

PolyEsta Wyldesage A campaign on billboards or tv and radio to inform women of support group networks would be a start. Whilst at the same time reminding them that killing your offspring is a terrible thing and that there are better ways.

Christi Bown I understand its the outcome of a greater underlying problem. But its still unforgivable. ISIS is also made up of homicidal people in that the regressive influence of extreme islam and decades of violence, war and instability in the region (partly the wests fault) have led to massess of psychologically damaged people. Similar to what we saw in Cambodia after Pol Pot. My point is that these are all mitigating factors. Yet murder, particularly of a child can never be forgiven, though one can understood the underlying factors. And should act that correct them.
