Those lands were Christian once but then the muslims came from arabia and conquered them from the Byzantines and the Byzantines didnt have the strength to fight them and asked europe for help thus the crusades started. Unfortunately the crusaders were brutes but it was the islamic aggression that started it by getting the byzantines to ask europe for help out of desperation.

  2. Tara Bee Well it was under a british protectorate. It was they that let in european jews, many of whom were zionist activists. And then when the going got tough the british packed up and left. They did not fufill their duty of protection to the palestinians which is what a protectorate is supposed to do.

  3. Tara Bee Sure the can be, but when Mohammed died his successors burst out of the arabian peninsular full of zeal and defeated the Persians and the Byzantines. The Byzantines later asked the west for help but came to regret it later as the crusaders were bad allies. But my point is that the crusaders are a bad example of christian aggression in my books, as they were a response to islamic aggression but triggered by the byzantine call for help.
