@sotiriskordas1072 I think Bernie is a socialist at heart and probably would go further if conditions were right. But he is also a realist and realises you have to work within a capitalist framework for our modern economies to function.

There's a lot of livers and kidneys there, could save a lot of lives! That being said, if they haven't actually killed anyone, they shouldn't be killed in my opinion. But put to work so they can repay society, and they may even learn some skills to help them reintegrate one day.

@sotiriskordas1072 What would that make me then? I would prefer socialism if the conditions were right (this can be open to a lot of possibilities and interpretations). But at present I think capitalism is necessary to maintain a first world lifestyle that people want and to ensure access to the global market that can help safeguard against shortages that can lead to serious problems otherwise.
