  2. It's just a misalignment of values and it goes both ways. Someone like Gigi Sohn, for lack of a better term let's call them supporters and believers in current day Democrat values, wouldn't want to hire an old white guy who writes stuff like 'if black people didn't commit so much crime and were more disciplined they would get ahead in life' even if saying such a thing didn't affect his capacity to do the job and he would still follow his duties to a framework of rules. He wouldn't be hired because his views do not align to those of progressive Democrats. Yet he could have a shot of being hired by the conservative Trump administration. Same kind of thing happened to Gigi Sohn here, just flipped. But no-one is censoring anyone, people are still free to have their own ideas and tweet what they want. It's just that if your new boss does not share the same values, it will worsen your chances.

  3. People like that only change and take issues seriously after their own loved ones get hurt. You see the same kind of thing happen with liberal politicians that are soft on crime until one of their loved ones gets killed or brutally assaulted. I find it very selfish. They are unable to empathise with others until the issue affects them themselves.
