  1. There are people want there to be a real left wing alternative, and they find the green party too small. In theory the centrist-centre right position of New Labour is what should always have been the Liberal democracts position. In the not too distant past, New Labour took a strong shift right, Lib Dems took a small shift leftwards, and so did the Tories, from right wing to centre right. Thus we have had three very similar parties. That is why i think Corbyn is good, he breaks this 'consensus' of sorts we see today in the politics.
