  1. Easy man! But yeah theres a lot of ignorance. I love ancient and medieval history and black civilisations have been largely ignored by the main stream but they've had some respectable civilisations and empires, especially in east africa. Kingdom of Benin and Mali are other examples in west africa.

  2. They were around before the Romans but had a different architecture style before. Its not unusual because if you look at Carthage, they used to use middle eastern architecture but towards the end they took a liking to ancient greek style architecture.
