  2. I dont like Islam but i still feel bad for the Palestinians. There was a time the Palestinians were becoming more left wing and progressive. The PLO was becoming increasingly secular but due to lack of gains and heavy handed Israeli strategies that often hurt the common people, the people of Palestine gravitated towards religion once more. The right wingers, which sometimes include some that consider themselves progressive, take my stance towards Palestine as being Muslim apologist which is far from the case. Back in the day the Palestinian authority was gravitating more towards socialism than islamic fundamentalist. Admittedly though, now that the Palestinians have increasingly abandoned secular reason for islamic fundamentalist madness, i find it hard to sympathise with them, but i still do when i look at the situation within its historical context.
