  1. Whether or not it would have ended up better would depend on part on the reaction from Westminster and Brussels. If Scotland got it's way, and got to use the Pound Sterling and join the EU without having to take on the euro. Then it may have gone in a good direction for Scotland. Otherwise, it could have gotten complicated pretty quick and possibly have been for the worse.
