  3. More like EU corporatist policies. Whilst privatisation brought in short term gains, & needed investments it lead to a system that then was only registering growth that was largely based on bank credit. Hasnt worked so well last 5 years has it? Britain still feels the after-effects. You see the young terminal unemployed underclass thats emerged? Their grandparents were the miners, the ship builders, the factory workers. But their future was forfeit so globalists could off-shore jobs.

Most Britains arent racist right wing bigots but are concerned about EEC people coming in unrestricted which is what the EU would like & has largely achieved, & puts a massive strain on limited housing, limited unskilled jobs & social services pushed past the limit, in what is already an overpopulated country that lacks the infrastructure & resources. This can be mistaken for racism which is often the knee jerk reaction of the liberal left wing. I myself consider myself somewhat left wing btw.

  5. David, its not so much because of europe that Britain is no longer a big polluter but because of the collapse of the heavy industry sector due to the neo-lib globalists forseeing it would be cheaper to do much of it abroad.
