  1. Meat is great but we should make it more expensive to make the living conditions of meat animals better. If they are going to die for our pleasure, least we can do is make their short lives pleasant.   Is this productive? No, it isn't. But it's the right thing to do. Eventually foreign meat companies will have to comply or die. Many will go bankrupt. Many will fail. Cry me a river. The good thing is those that survive will enjoy a more humane market.
