  5. I something think the park isn't big enough for the amount of animals in it. Particularly lions. And it leads to a lot of unfortunate encounters such as this one.

  7. Kruger National Park looks too overcrowded. I'm sure the range is quite big, but compared to how things were pre human encroachment/civilization, the animals have a fraction of the living space they once had and seem to be almost competing for what little territory there is which is a bit sad. I'm not blaming the park though, they do what they can and the animals seem to be thriving overall. But there's a lot of conflict, and it seems to be hard for the smaller animals. Less places to hide.

  8. I think this kind of sad encounter is all too common in Kruger national park because while the park is big, it's not big enough for the amount of animals, lions in particular. There are over 1600 lions i believe. Which for that territorial range is way too much, compared to lion density in the savannah wilderness or compared to how things were like in Africa before humans and modern civilization arrived. Personally i would try to enlarge the park (though good luck get anything like that past the SA government) and try prevent the lion population from growing much more.
