@QuietEscapism : Tech that's easy to destroy, making it a Pyrrhic victory. Plus ASML isn't a Taiwanese company (yes they have a presence). So without that tech they're not that much ahead. And as WWII should have taught, people are the most importance resource, and if they leave/escape things would be harder for China (look at the story about India's chip ambitions). Really any future action taken on the basis of pride will end badly.
