  1. Moving to an alternative wouldn't send the mixed message piracy does. If a company is acting bad, continuing to use their stuff is a form of approval. Regardless of how it's obtained. There's plenty of CAD software out there. It's just not the "industry standard" but otherwise just as functional.

No one thinks, I'm going to punish the drug dealer by continuing to use their drugs, or I'm going to show this person how bad the relationship is, by continuing to stay in it.
