Very well put together considering the difficulty of the subject. It does raise the question of the purposes of the institutions if at best they do little to benefit society, and at worst harm it.

@pj23nl Not unique to Americans. That's why there's corruption worldwide. Not absolving anyone of anything, just pointing out "us vs them" and tribalism aren't effective ways of fixing the world.
