  2. Please stick to history, as soon as you go into politics, you have me lost. Communism and socialism is based on the philosophy of Marx and Engels. Like Christianity is based on Jesus Christ. Try to see the march of idea's as part of the human evolution, trying to create new social models.Almost all of the social philosophy's are flawed, because humanity was unable to dig them. To dismiss them as creating "evil" is equally flawed und contra productive. Productive would be to mend good ideas/philosophies together and find solutions that will help us to evolve. Embracing Neo Liberalism or Neo Conservatism is turning a cold shoulder to philosophy, and a surrender to our lowest denominators. Please do not fall into that trap TIK !

Having not read into the evolution of philosophy, you can only go as far, as history reading would allow you to go. The answers historians can give you on philosophy are limited, please accept my intervention.

We are really not that much interested about your political views, we have our own biases, thank you very much. Your very good historical expertise and research is next to exellent, that does not necessarily translate in being a good analyst of social philosophies. You are very well read on WW2 topics, and you can connect the dots. You are not well read on Philosophy, and even less to ferment any analysis's. Now if you want to get my 2 cents on political wisdom, ponder this : First I would seek an avid reader of Philosophy, that has conducted in debt studies about the social issues that got us where we are now. I would look up David Richard Precht from Germany who is as excellent in his philosophy analysis, as you are in WW2 history. In short, if I want to buy gourmet groceries, I go to the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto, not to a Gas station.
