  1. The job market and house market situation is also pretty bad in the US. COVID just makes it that much worse. That is a good point about how people these days feel like no matter how hard you work and how much you work, you're not necessarily likely at all to be able to do things that the past generation could like owning a house. Also, regardless of political stance of elected officials and the promises they make, realistically, none can actually fulfill all of the promises during their term and none can guarantee things will improve. At the very least, it's important to work on making sure the situation for jobs, housing, etc doesn't get worse.
