@Asian Boss I think most of us are sailing through the routines of our lives worrying over things that are very insignificant in the overall scheme of things. We all like to go through the routines of our lives until something really big happens to us be it a death in the family (God forbid), an accident (God forbid), etc. It's only then when the individual really & sincerely considers the things that are more relevant and meaningful. The problem is that we are all creatures of habits and rituals; things we do daily. Any disturbance to this offsets our feelings of comfort and a sense of homeostasis. Even if someone who's gone through these big life changes comes out of it, homeostasis in that individual is never actually reached. Therefore, it's quite difficult for those individuals to even explain to others what really is the purpose of life. But in general I think it's important to maintain homeostasis for the sake of our daily lives, and for the sake of our enlightened lives, we need to find purpose and meaning in our lives and work towards achieving that purpose/meaning. We may never reach it through the course of our lives but it's important to make an effort.
