  1. Working from 9 AM to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday? This is just a debate of work to live versus live to work. Honestly, I see no point in working a lot of hours if it means you're sacrificing physical & mental health as well as personal time and or family time. What's the point of working that much if it affects your health (for example) and all that money you earn is spent on medical bills, medicine, and hospitals? It's not about working a lot or hard. It's more about working smart and efficiently. Simply think about it. If an employee workers more efficiently for a short period of time and gets more work/sales done versus an employee who works long hours and maybe not get as much done? If I was a business owner, I'd rather give my employees shorter work hours, pay them decently, and have them have ample time to physically and mentally rest up and spend time with family and loved ones; provided that within the shorter work days/work week they get all the work done/make enough sales. I'd rather have happier and more efficient employees than employees stressed and working longer hours. That notion of working more showing dedication and pride for their job is a bunch of BS and a very old world way of thinking. It's a broken system. The times have changed and so work mentality/business mentality should also change. People like Jack Ma is only thinking this 996 thing is so good because he's already wealthy and so he really doesn't care and can't related at the end of the day. He just needs more people working more hours to make him even more money.
