@MenendezCase It wasn't self-defense. The mitigating factor does not turn a planned murder into self-defense. I know about possible dynamics in a victim's perspective and about chronified fear in such a setting as claimed by the MBros, no need to go into it. How much do you need to bend facts to please your emotional state?

@mudeasno1baby73 and the other family members, did they really care before the parents were unalived? In the aftermath, they all talk about how evident physical abuse was, and how some hinted to sexual abuse or even assault, yet no one spoke up or called police or tried to protect the brothers back then? Why?

@MiaMars-r1p Of course some of their development got stuck, it's evident, doesn't mean their mindsets were completely those of children. And doesn't necessarily indicate what type of long-term childhood trauma led to it. Alone the kind of upbringing [family dogma, absence of unconditional love, a father's physical punishment, high expectations, a mother's emotional neglect; nurture into dependence instead of supporting individual evolution] can impair a child's neuro'development. They both clearly also had very mature traits at that time. A brain doesn't get totally stuck in time. (except in cases of tissue damage to certain regions of the brain, where patients really get stuck in time and these people can't "survive" by themselves anymore.)

@MenendezCase yeah, what's the point? I already stated that I know about possible dynamics, but you probably ignored that with your emotional state. You definitely missed a lot of the trial, as the murders were clearly planned.

@MenendezCase oh, and assuming things about others isn't a valid argument. I saw much too much of that trial. Even those parts where any sane person would fall asleep.

@MenendezCase If you say so, I must have hallucinated those parts. Not a very constructive approach to a debate to assume things about strangers and use childish techniques. Especially when the chronifed fear response is an argument within a frame of an alleged setting that included preoccupation with the father's will and how to get away with planned murder.

They weren't grown ass men, they clearly had some impairments in development. I disagree with this detail. But: such impairments and views that the father is the Universe do not necessarily come from long-term sexual abuse, not exclusively. The type of upbringing they had (that is widely confirmed and EYEwitnessed, not supposed or alleged as the claims of ongoing sexual assaults on Erik) alone can mess up a child's neuro'development. A mother's emotional neglect, a father's distressing and high expectations and a nurture into dependence, physical punishments vs pampering... All of this can lead to the same result. After having stated that - I do totally agree that the inheritance played an important role and was a motive, no matter if they had chronified fear response or not, no matter if some of the s' abuse happened or all of it including krape, or not at all. (And what is their final take on their mom now anyway, the version where she s' abused Erik, as Lyle told his Ex- fiancée? Or was it mercy because she wouldn't survive without José as they told Walters or was it on the stand, or was it because she knew but played bystander... which one was it, now?) 🙄
