@mrsx7944 this doesn't really matter. People with suicidal intentions usually hide them, unless they want to fight them.

@mrsx7944 I do agree that something appears all wrong with the suicide/massmurder theory and other aspects in this incident raise red flags. I was just reacting to the argument "Nobody knew/saw signs, therefore he can't have been suicidal".

@TabSaleesh Since there is no recording nor witnesses, nobody can ever tell what the FO was doing. If the pilot was responsible, and planned it all so meticulously, he surely had something up his sleeve in order to incapacitate the FO, hadn't he?

@prosandcons-fl2cc To be suicidal still doesn't necessarily - and barely ever does - imply the capacity to commit massmurder. Was he a profile capable of massmurder? Who knows...

He had a file, he had been in treatment some time before the incident, but it wasn't transmitted as in D/GER it wasn't mandatory to pass on a patient's file to employeurs. Generally speaking - After all, it is very, very rare that someone with "some depression or similar issues in the past" decides to perform suicide AND commit massmurder at the same time... Plus, many people suffering from severe suicidal depressions can appear totally stable and well or hide their condition, especially if it comes in episodes. @motorzbh

@dogtags2010 they were most probably already unconscious when suspicious manoeuvres started.

@ilyah886 I asked myself the same question: And the only answer I could give: He didn't plan to make the plane disappear without a trace, he didn't calculate on that at all, it just happened. (Because of the angle upon collision with the ocean, or sth like that) But then again, there are a couple of impressive plannings and manoeuvres done, according to this most considered theory, - he may have exercised smooth waterlanding or knew how to try that coup @ilyah886

@honestotaku this bothers me, too. But on the other hand : there's no statistics unless uncovered. I mean, maybe that happens more often than one thinks - fake ID Travelers...

@seattlepeaches936 Why mix that 9/11 in? Absurd. What would these terrorists want to hit in the indian ocean anyways? A pod of whales? And if pilots had regained control: First thing they'd immediately do: get in touch again and report. If by any circumstances the plane doesn't make much floating debris when hitting water, it can vanish in that huge deep blue effortlessly. Remember it took about 80 years to find the Titanic, although its position before sinking was well known. As for that plane, for quite some time they didn't even know where to look for it, precious time lost... I do tend to believe though, that governments know SOMEthing, but won't tell.

@brannkos in that unlikely scenario: wouldn't they bring down any plane approaching their base? Why the MH370 and without warning them first? After all, the plane was on a routine track up to that moment of the sudden U-turn... I do agree with one opinion: Evidence in the Flight Sim' Data might have been forged by FBI... the truth is out there... somewhere deep in the indian ocean...
