Sometimes I go nuts in USA based YT threads: God did this, God that, Trust in God, God created you to be superior to animals, God gave you power, God helped you to become a doctor,...God God, God God... I prefer Dog Dog, Dog Dog. ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Contra posts like "your god did nothing, you invented him" often get deleted.
Greetings from a lost soul, according to christian fundamentalists.

โ @willburgerrotmg2867 confusing timelines, irrelevant content, stupid dialogues, overstretched lack of content, pace and choice of on what to dwell, depiction of Elves, costumes in general, total lack of epic scenes, lack of catching and powerful scenes, no magic in the ether whatsoever, storytelling isn't building up in a way that it would capture, too many characters are flat, boring and useless, there's a great void between many scenes which makes them forgettable.
Prince Durin losing character (hope this improves again), Galadriel is supposed to be wise and experienced in this world, of majestic appearance and pride and as a ring bearer she's not even a shadow of what I imagine her to be according to Tolkien. The Istari with his dementia-like features..., and the jolly harfoots and "our" protagonist of this species - Nori, a female Frodo ugrade boost version is like any main female character in this show - oh so heroic and above male roles, this whole hyper emancipation thing in its worn out shoes... And Orcs kissing Babies, oh come on, please, what's next? - They actually have ccPTSD from their upbringing and should be viewed in that grey area?
Errr... what else - oh, yeah, too many scenes where mere <blabla> is the only thing happening - consecutively.
...
And did Elrond finally arrive Nowhere?

โ @yvettetorres7829 I wouldn't care having them as neighbours, I would even invite them for dinner.
I had a very similar past (upbringing and trauma), neuro' impairments and traits (But I further on evolved differently).
If they become a danger to me, I would become a danger to them, too.
They aren't unpredictable, mindless killing machines nor sexual predators, and clearly have a basic emotional setting. Their rage went against their caregivers only! They aren't serial killers, I am not a target.
Btw, what I do when I become a danger to others - which I only become when inhibtion doesn't work properly AND the person did me intentional harm and is therefore a bad or screwed character - I have to move away to make sure I do no wrong, urges get sparked, and it is a big battle to inhibit them especially since I am dissociative.

They weren't grown ass men, they clearly had some impairments in development. I disagree with this detail.
But: such impairments and views that the father is the Universe do not necessarily come from long-term sexual abuse, not exclusively.
The type of upbringing they had (that is widely confirmed and EYEwitnessed, not supposed or alleged as the claims of ongoing sexual assaults on Erik) alone can mess up a child's neuro'development. A mother's emotional neglect, a father's distressing and high expectations and a nurture into dependence, physical punishments vs pampering... All of this can lead to the same result.
After having stated that - I do totally agree that the inheritance played an important role and was a motive, no matter if they had chronified fear response or not, no matter if some of the s' abuse happened or all of it including krape, or not at all. (And what is their final take on their mom now anyway, the version where she s' abused Erik, as Lyle told his Ex- fiancรฉe? Or was it mercy because she wouldn't survive without Josรฉ as they told Walters or was it on the stand, or was it because she knew but played bystander... which one was it, now?) ๐

@2turnttjess Listen, I didn't mean to contradict but people jump immediately, as if there was only black & white.
Pro Menendez people only look at the alleged horrific abuse; Contra Menendez people... lack any knowledge about possible consequences of complex long-term trauma inflicted by primary caregivers anyway...
I understand many complex layers and dynamics in this particular setting of the Menendez family. I've been there - all my childhood & youth, and then I studied such topics in adulthood.
I would like to believe these emotionally deranged fellows - as stated, there was a lot of rage in the killings, which can indicate a highly troubled and deep emotion (love&hate in one, killers -> victims). Which can further indicate they are speaking truth - their parents tortured them in some way and totally screwed them up mentally /& psy'.
But, what else did the parents fail to do? They failed to teach them to become mature, responsible and independent adults who can deal with frustration & betrayal. Again, when Menendez Bros were 18&21, they were nowhere near adulthood (cognitively, emotionally). And this can indicate that they are indeed speaking truth, as severe perpetuate trauma in infancy & youth messes with parts of brain development.
But such an upbringing can also create a palette of "dark" disorders.
The issue I have with them - they are pathological liars and trained actors (from their home sweet home education & experience), they probably do have skills to fool people. If only they would stop lying about the money! As long as they are not sincere with the evident truth, I have hard times believing some of their other accounts.
"Money was no motive" is really turning not one, but two blind eyes! They were too weak to jump into the void. To me, the killings were not only done because of the horrible abuse they claim to have endured.
(But I blame US penalty system & society for this inability to free their minds, too.)

@2turnttjess Of course not, victims of horrible abuse are always perfect and good people, aren't they. Victims can't be scared of poverty, either, or have dark sides - especially with such a disturbing (->neurodevelopment) upbringing.
Even I was scared to death back in times - knowing that I will be alone again in this world, and with nothing at my hands the day I wander off.
Age 18/19 I literally thought: "If I unlive these 2 monsters who had adopted me to destroy me for 15yrs, and get away with it, I will have a house on an island, 3 appartments in 3 countries, cars, all the stuff... and money, and can keep the social network they created for me - if I walk away and never look back, I will go clean public toilets as I have no diploma yet with my gymnasium degree and will have to sleep in shelters..." - after all I had been through from birth on because of many bad people, this appeared very unfair to me and angered me.
Well, in the end I managed to tame my dissociative urges to kill them, mainly because I didn't want to end up in specific facilities... I like watching sunsets on the beach.
Money may not have been THE motive, but I do not blindly trust them, money was an important factor in my opinion; Btw, when you risk a death penalty or imprisonment for life, and have at least some sense for self-preservation and slightest intelligence, you WiLL put on the total angel-face in an absurd penalty system as the US has it.

@Fusion0603 Yes, I have gone through trauma from gest.age 8months when bio'mom tried to abort me which induced birth; I was an orphan from day 1 of life; at age 4 got adopted by real Monsters in upbringing and abuse, much similar to what L&E claim to have had as parents. Other people and events did me significant harm, too, in childhood and adulthood. I was all alone from age 19 again and had to start from scratch with nothing at my hands.
I am a real DI, neurodevelopmental issues; have ccPTSD, suffered a wide range of other symptoms, and suffered from severe Insomnia for nearly 4 decades, too, among other health issues.
I would never say something like this without experience.
Your comment sounded so... dooming, I wanted to add a different view. Didn't mean to disrespect individual perceptions and capacities.

โโ @polendisco4132 the best to me was still a US tourists group in a camp asking me: "How come you just spoke Canadian with the Canadian group, you told us you were from Sweden!" (Yes, they did the classic Sweden/Switzerland thing, and they didn't even know that their neighbours, the Canadians, have a great french/le quรฉbรฉcois speaking culture. As if coming from somewhere meant you speak one language, anyway... neverending stories there)
I never tell Americans where I am from originally, most wouldn't know that country exists. ๐
But hey, to get this straight - I am not perfect, either, recently finally learned what countries the UK includes, and that Nairobi was a country, not just the name of a desert, among other basic things about our world. ๐
Have a good life, cheers. See you in english lessons soon!

โ@toasterhavingabath6980 Oh yes they did, they invented EVERYTHING,... engines, cars, electricity, lightbulbs, antibiotics, freezers, frying pans and even toasters and bathtubs!! No, wait - true, they didn't invent God though. God was already a US Citizen long before ancient folks from Eurasia crossed the Beringstreet! ๐ค

@AllAboutPurple guess you didn't read the second part of my comment.
About that job thing you suggest:
My bro & I had real trauma, plus similar upbringing and dogma (don't know if MBros' claims are true, how could I).
The interesting part: my brother couldn't focus on any education, he was bad in school (long-term trauma especially by primary caregivers can disturb scholar capacities in individuals, as it influences neurodevelopment anyway). My brother became rather hyperactive and depended on his primary caregivers' fortune; he became brainwashed and then compliant in late teenagehood. And when he had started solidarity towards the abusers, my rage multiplied. I was all alone again, like in the orphanage before the adoption by monsters.
I investigated on my brother's achievements in adult life a couple of years ago - he's literally a <loser>, still depending on his father's inheritance and doing some PC based music performing on weddings and parties within connection circles from back then, only. His mama apparently still cooks for him, and so does his wife, I guess. He still lives in their appartements and houses - with his wife. He never cooked back then either, and anyways: didn't have any survival skills at all, none! I remember how delighted he was when he managed to fry french fries. He was so happy, I cheered with him to support his moment.
Now, is he incapacitated by trauma + own setting influencing it, or is he just a lazy character who wants everything without doing anything?
I could never ever judge this. I can't judge the MBros, either.
