I know in the Interwar period US army exercises would say in general one side needed a firepower measure of 3x the enemy to defeat them, in a basic example, however it was pointed out that if the defenders were in concrete fortifications it may be up to 10:1 superiority required to be given victory, or if ambushing a marching column, a 1:1 could be sufficient Soviets during WW2 wanted a 5:1 advantage, while in mid to late Cold War generally wanted a 3:1 minimum for a successful attack, the french after the Great War had an idea of 3x the infantry 6x the artillery and 15x the ammo for an attack But this is dependent on the warfare you’re fighting I suppose
