I do not believe political support for Ukraine will crash and here’s way In Europe, combat readiness has been obliterated by aid to Ukraine and realizations of the consumptions of supply, Europe has only just started production that the US began a year ago by the way. With such losses in Ukraine, hawkish russians are embittered at what is right now a very weak Europe. In the US if Ukraine fails, or if the US ditches Ukraine the Democratic Party faces political suicide, already suffering low approval ratings would face another foreign policy disaster. The peace talks will fail, the aims are irreconcilable, Russians think they can totally win in 2024/2025 and unless the Ukrainians will agree to a ceasefire that the Russians will immediate violate just like Minsk 2, Russia will not stop the war unless they can just rip it up. Without a military guarantee there’s no chance Russia would agree with it, in fact Russia would still be well advised to attack anyway to show the west to be weak.
