  1. I think it’s just because they’re similar in capability and people like to make analogous comparisons Most people forget panzer 3 was a medium tank despite being pretty small for a medium tank

  2.  @matthiuskoenig3378  panzer 3 is probably the second lightest medium designated tank in weight armor and armament, maybe second to a Japanese or British design, but it was still treated as a medium tank
