Russia has never been big in naval prowess and that’s what you need to invade an island Think of it like when the Germans conquered Europe in WW2, but they could never invade the UK Same with Russia, they may have quite a struggle invading Japan, but Europe would be its playground, that’s why it has thousands of tanks, it’s drilled for 60-70 years against NATO
