Eurofighter isn’t even close to F35, let alone F-22, the three shown comparisons are stealth fighters of some kind, Eurofighter isn’t a stealth plane

@ahouais5620 this isn’t the 40s, dogfights aren’t the norm, or even the uncommon, they’re exceedingly rare And of course, if dogfights are gonna be nigh losses for one side every time, they’re just gonna avoid them

F-35 proves the F-22 stealth shouldn’t have been continued as is, as F-35 stealth is much better in maintenance and upgrades compared to F-22 stealth, alongside the downsides like lack of helmet targeting, lack of real estate to add stuff, and segregated communication systems, it’s pretty clear F-22, however great, can be improved upon significantly, especially considering the massive advancement of technology from 1990 to now

There’s no reason F-22 can’t have better stealth were it not for the baked skin design, nothing but a hindsight error there, 22 was air dominance as opposed to 35 being the joint strike fighter, but it’s just naturally qualitatively better since it’s newer, especially when 22 is a pain to upgrade

@m1garandMUSIC that’s not an analogy you can make, all planes worth a damn fight at BVR, and shoot away from their front many times, and the analogy used suggests the AR-15 can’t beat a M-14 at range which is wrong

@RS-bu1vz lightning still has the role as a fighter though, it’s just an upgraded multi role capable version, among other things Like the looks as you want but there is a reason the US is tossing them out soon enough

@RS-bu1vz J-20 is the Chinese stealth fighter, but yeah the F-22 was essentially the blitz to get ground work for stealth fighters, the F-35 is the cheaper version of it, in short, the F-15 fleet will need replacing soon enough, which seems to be the point of the EXs

@Perrirodan1 I just have this sneaking suspicion the worlds largest most advanced Airforce took those factors into account when making one of the best planes ever made Also warfare isn’t as radically different in our time compared to the 40s, stealth planes have existed prior to f-22 Finally, the Israelis have proven their F-35s in combat, sure no one has scuffled with a Rafael using a F-35 (until Egypt does something stupid again) but there’s a reason Lockheed has all the export deals and not Dassault
