Javelins are overrated, the Ukrainians just asked for 500 a month, which is weird, considering javelin has a hit rate in the 90% area, which is a production level that isn’t available If stugna-p was so much better the Ukrainians would just ask for production of those and keep the western units in reserve, your opinion is baseless

  34.  @ianworley8169  the difference to me is how confident are you in that tank column heading towards your ambush point is going to be sufficiently thwarted by weapons with less than half pen rates, especially at that range, at least javelin is a Km+ class weapon so even if somehow javelin didn’t kill what it found, you’ll be long gone before the gunners get into retribution mode. Besides, javelin makes a bigger visual boom than the others, this is nigh pointless for actual combat, but could prove even more effective psychologically than a smaller explosion, but that’s a bit subjective Of course I wouldn’t want to be the poor sod lugging the thing but under American doctrine you should have 3 people lugging it anyway so it isn’t as awful and frankly if you’re in a situation where you need a javelin, lugging it is the least of your worries I’d assume Then again I’m not fighting the Russians, so perhaps I’m wrong
