It’s worth remembering the naughty Germans had to defend coastline from Rhodes to top coast of Denmark (minus the allied Italian area) AND coastline of Norway, after enduring 4.5 years of high intensity warfare, with two main battlefields for the army and airforce to engage Taiwan is…a bit smaller…and would not have anywhere near that same amount of loss or commitments
