If it does the US wouldn’t be happy and considering it’s constant naval presence the Chinese would do a preemptive strike on their assets anyway considering how fast the US would side with Taiwan World war 3? Maybe, maybe not, not entirely clear if other nations outside the local zone would be involved or involve themselves...the largest/most spectacular naval war in human history? Most certainly, a much greater naval war than that of the pacific theater in world war 2, the current holder of that very fun distinction
