I find it easy enough to just compare Rey Palpatine to Amicia De Rune, they both grab someone else’s blade to pick a fight with a tough experienced leader of an army One gets her ass beaten and nearly dies brutally, while Rey wins because of course she does. Thing is, I guarantee every single person who’s watched both fights rooted for Amicia more than Rey, because everyone knows Amicia is in over her head and fighting out of desperation against impossible odds
