  2. I'll try to form a substantive opinion unlike many 'oh 5 countries? Rip USA" or "Murica bitches USA vs the world? Might have to only use pistols to make it fair" (Based on if the USA was invaded) Important things to consider are how a war would play out, assuming no allies on either side chip in, the statuses of Canada and Mexico are still needed, if neither were involved period, then the USA might be forced to tactically sacrifice Alaska. The massive ground armies aren't worth shit if they can't land them, and the US navy can pretty much go toe to toe with BRICS. Air power determines modern war, and the USA has never been in a position even theoretically where it couldn't control the skies, combine that with aircraft carriers being the only resupply for BRICS aircraft, compared to the USA using land bases and well the scale tips ever further into the USA's favor Brazil deserves a special mention, as its prime position makes it dangerous to the USA and useful to BRICS, allowing them to open a front in the Gulf of Mexico or even worse the Atlantic Ocean over all, that's where the main fighting would be at first, tactically you can't allow them to set up shop in Brazil, otherwise your war gets ten times harder. Assuming a ground invasion is successful, reverse DDay style, it would most likely be on the west coast, as the west coast has more uninhabited areas to land and maneuver, American civilians are armed to the teeth, with notable exceptions such as CA, NY, and WA not withstanding, another reason why the west coast is prime for invading. Due to the American population having so many firearms, resistance movements will pop up as soon as BRICS takes an area, with all the usual resistance stuff, saboteurs, snipers, assassinations, sabotage, all that nasty stuff harassing BRICS constantly Geography: the United States is pretty big It's actually so big, that Texas is bigger than most European nations, and the continental US is about as large and wide as Europe. To occupy 2-3 states would be a massive undertaking, and certain states like Nevada, Utah, or Montana don't really have a purpose in being occupied, but if you don't then your supply lines could get raided, a large commitment of forces would be needed to hold land they take BRICS could utilize Brazilian and South African forces as the garrisons, this would help in BRICS's main problem (ill explain later) and their relative army sizes and training couldn't really go toe to toe with the US forces. US forces all speak English, duh, BRICS forces would be hampered by communication problems, which could actually make a fight worse than if they were on their own, as they'd have trouble understanding if their left flank broke, who needs support, etc. it won't be long however until we all have little hearing aid things that could act as translators but for now that isn't an option. Assuming BRICS can get on the ground, that's their time to shine, ground forces would have to push hard initially to make way for more landings and to give their artillery some room to breath, unfortunately for them, US artillery, while outnumbered, is already set up, and may have even been bombarding naval targets the best they can, whilst the BRICS artillery needs time to set up positions. All in all, I think the United States could hold against BRICS, doubly so if Brazil gets knocked out at the start, nuclear weapons aren't considered because the moment one missile fires, we have about 3-6 hours before Earth looks like Venus
