  5. I wonder what would be said of the Imperial Admiralty if they knew of the war that would follow, and the potential that their ally in said war would have a quarter of their high seas fleet Wonder how that would’ve affected the Med, perhaps Malta wouldn’t have survived

Rook attacking a fleet in harbor stationary is quite a bit different than engaging them on the high seas, it’s doubtful as well considering how scared the admiral was of the Italian fleet Also many of Britain’s aircraft carriers were converted and weren’t fleet carriers like we think of now but that’s a side note anyway
