Would you prefer regulated influencing or total anarchic corruption Why would a us politician risk everything for x many dollars or interests when, granted less significant, interests and direct profit can be made by operating within regulation, that wouldn’t receive such backlash? An evil necessity? I wouldn’t go that far personally, but certainly preferable
