  1. When I red "should have been able to end better" I though - if it was a movie it would - the business of the Stanley's will probably succeed, the other family will stay together and keep the house. I feel they deserve it, but will never get it in real life.

  2. I heard about how bad it had become when the manufacturing companies started moving to cheap labour markets, but did not realize how much better those jobs were. The men said they were making 18 - 20 $ per hours plus benefits. 20 years later they are happy to make 10 - 15$ per our, no benefit!. So back then even working class families get by normally, the neighbourhoods were not disintegrating, life was full of hope for the majority of people. I just wonder did those companies realized what kind of devastation will follow and did they do it for some more money (for their shareholders) or were they really struggling and going bankrupt? And if they did it simply to enrich themselves are those shareholders happy to live in a city/country that is plunged in poverty and crime and unhappiness? Do they think it was worth it?
