The way she looked at her father when he said "We will give him a good education when he is older" broke my heart. But her story is nevertheless a good one, although her life did not turn the way she probably would have chosen, it is good one.

Now, I did not get the impression from the video that this is happening all over your country. My impression is that this will be true for small villages where people are very poor and uneducated. But I would suspect that does not matter what the law says, those traditions are very difficult to uproot. Also you say "it's very rare to see girls getting married early that too without the consent of the girl", as if she is free in her choice. She was not, she was pressured by customs and society into "accepting her fate". I actually do admire her for that and do understand that in some situations it is the right choice. She does love her family, she brought them a lot of happiness by giving birth to a grandson and she is content, even happy in her life. But you can still feel that she has also the understanding of missing something in life, by agreeing to go this way. It is a biter-sweet story that shows us the reality for so many poor girls.

@lameh6 Different countries have different ways of life (and all that this involves), and we should not impose to everyone our own values, since it will not work. Their society has to evolve naturally to whatever they want it to. She is happy, as they are treating her well and in such cases that is the most important thing.

@KyleEvra5 Yes, I agree with that. But girls can have such a bad life there that not being beaten, foe example, is a win for her. Again, did you see how they lived - those are people in extreme poverty, I do not feel it is right to judge them. We saw her father asking the in-laws to let her continue her education. I am sure he would have preferred that, given the option. There is a lot of misery around the world and the only way to end it is by advocating and helping people out of poverty, not impose our western cultural norms to them.

@СлаваССС-м4с Sorry to bring it to you but no one calls them "Bulgarian of Turkish roots", even the Bulgarians, so what is your point here. We have peace in Bulgaria, but we are divided and no ones pretend to be something he is not.For now it works for us.
