In 1996 or 7 Areas A and B came under the authority of the PA. Security cooperation has reduced terror attacks but not stopped them. Hate rhetoric still remains and incitement by Abbas is ceaseless. In 2005 Israel left Gaza. Only to be met with tens of thousands of rockets fired into civilian areas and some of the most heinous terror attacks on civilians and soldiers.
