  2. In 2005 Israel unilaterally wuthdrew from Gaza as per agreement. It uprooted 200000 human beings from their homes and businesses. The Hamas took control of Gaza in a violent coup in 2007 from the PA. Gaza is a independent entity with two borders. From that moment Hamas has launched hundreds of thousands of rockets indiscriminately towards Jewish communities. That is a war crime. Its most recent act of aggression are the riots at the border. Ten thousand Gazans being used as human shields have been trying to infiltrate our border for two years. Hamas terrorists have destroyed thousands of dunams of land, businesses,property and assets with incendiary devices. They have dug terror tunnels in order to kill and kidnap Israeli soldiers and civilians. This is a war crime. If there is a blockade it is the fault of Hamas. Despite these aggressive acts Israel allows Gazans to work in Israel, receive medical care in Israel and higher education There will be peace in Gaza when there is peace in Israel.

The Gazans have gained nothing as a society from Hamas. They have no jobs, no civil or human rights and no hope. Even protests because of food shortages are put down violently by Hamas. May I remind you that the PA signed the Oslo Accords. The Israeli government fulfilled their part by "ethnically cleansing" 200000 Jews from their homes, businesses and lives. That made Gaza Strip a independent entity responsible for itself.

  7.  thomas paine  You are lying. The Israeli government left completely intact settlements including homes, businesses, agricultural areas, hotels, nurseries, and community centers. And what did Hamas do? It destroyed everything and turned it into to a training camp for terrorists. One more example of their complete indifference to the Gazans. It could have housed thousands of people and provided them with livelihoods.
